Today, on this August 16th, 2007- marking the 30th year of Elvis' shuffling off his mortal coil, and Phi wanted to share some of his thoughts and feelings about Elvis Presley, so here goes...
"As an artist, there's always a kaliedescope of influence, so when it comes to Elvis, i'm in awe, it's as though his voice has a whisper of The Milky Way in it, it's that huge and that intimate all at once, and because i'm reading a lot of Shakespeare, a couple of fragments come to mind "How like an Angel"...
...how infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and admirable- in action how like an angel
for some men are born great, some men achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them" and in Elvis' case he seems to be subject to all three. His lifeforce continues to feed... it's nothing short of a miracle- and i do believe in miracles"
